Federal Government’s Industry Growth Program backs Endua’s hydrogen technology expansion

Endua has been awarded $4.88 million in grant funding through the Australian Government’s Industry Growth Program, a major milestone that will accelerate the commercialisation of our advanced hydrogen electrolyser technology.

The grant will support Endua’s AHEAD project, focused on scaling our proprietary PEM electrolysers and enabling on-site hydrogen generation in decentralised applications.

“This funding represents an exciting milestone in our mission to deliver world-leading hydrogen electrolyser products directly to the industries and locations where they're needed most. It will enable us to build critical local supply chain capability and manufacturing expertise, positioning us to capture future growth opportunities both in Australia and internationally,” – Paul Sernia, CEO, Endua

Endua’s AHEAD Project: Scaling smarter hydrogen solutions for Australia’s future

Endua’s AHEAD (Advanced Hydrogen Electrolyser for Australian Decarbonisation) project will support our high-performance PEM electrolyser to achieve commercial scale.

Designed for flexible, on-site hydrogen production, the Endua electrolyser is a compact, plug-and-play system built to integrate seamlessly into new or existing industrial sites. Its modular design and dynamic output capability make it ideal for pairing with renewable energy sources, enabling operations to generate green hydrogen when and where it’s needed.

By scaling up local manufacturing and supply chain capabilities, AHEAD will aim to improve hydrogen accessibility and support efforts to reduce production and delivery costs for Australian industries.

With support from the IGP Grant Program, Endua will focus on scaling production, expanding local supply chain capabilities and delivering commercial-ready electrolyser systems to customers across Australia.

As demand for clean, reliable energy grows, we are well positioned to play a key role in the transition to a hydrogen-powered future, both at home and abroad.

About the Industry Growth Program

The Industry Growth Program supports innovative Australian SMEs to commercialise and scale technologies that strengthen Australia’s manufacturing capability.

Delivered by the Department of Industry, Science and Resources, the program provides expert business advisory services and competitive grant funding for projects aligned with national priorities, including renewables and low-emission technologies.

About Endua

Endua's market-leading electrolyser technology and optimised balance of plant make on-site production of renewable hydrogen possible.

By bringing hydrogen production closer to the point of consumption, Endua removes the high cost and operational challenges that exist with the transport and bulk storage of hydrogen.

Our technology enables efficient on-site production of high-purity green hydrogen for use in fuel cells, industrial feedstocks and long-duration energy storage (LDES) solutions.
